Author's notes

Tiny spiders about 1-2mm long on the stem of a weed I was photographing. It dropped off the stem on a thread and climbed back up it onto the stem a couple of times while I was trying to photograph it.

Tricky one (for me) Jackie. On pictorial evidence I first thought genus Euryopis sp., quite common though mostly seen on tree trunks. Looking at the small, anterially-tapered cephalothorax I then considered one of the six-eyed families, ie, Oonopidae or Orsolobidae. Another common spider which also starts with 'O' is Oecobiidae. Sorry I can't be more helpful but that's my two bobs worth!

Thanks Stuart. Being so small doesn't help - hard to make out any detail on the photos. The weed was under a eucalypt, for what that's worth.
