Author's notes

Feeding on Haloragis exalata on Dignams Creek, the only instance of this I ever saw in a lot of survey effort on that plant. I sent a specimen to Aust Museum back in 2005-6. They called it Altica sp., and I notice in the 2015 revision of that genus in Aust that my specimen appears in the list of specimens examined under both A. aenea and A, corrusca! From the photos in that paper they look pretty difficult to tell apart. Maybe the fact that it was definitely feeding in large numbers and with great enthusiasm on something other than Ludwigia or other family Onagraceae members suggests it might be more likely to be A. corrusca. It's a lot more blue than my Kisses Lagoon specimens, but that doesn't seem to be definitive based on the photos in the paper (all very blue).
