Author's notes

Just a single mature tree at this location, looking a bit unwell with a sparse crown. The ground under it was carpeted with its seedlings (2nd photo, with a few larger ones in a clump and masses of recently germinated ones). This is a nice demonstration of this species' invasive capability.
