Photo 1 - Most often seen in family group foraging on the ground. bright red eyes and thin down curved bill makes them easily distinguished from Ravens. Photo 4 - They have elegant white wing patches usually only visible in flight.
This is a most unusual sighting at our place. We've only seen choughs a very few times in the nearly 40 years we have been here, which is a bit odd as the habitat seems suitable and they are around the district generally.
