Hi Kerri - The best I can do with this so far, is to suggest that it looks somewhat similar to Hylaeus (Macrohylaeus) alcyoneus) in the species data base.
Hi Kerri, I've been looking at this sighting with the Michael Batley guide. I'm liking Hylaeus (Gnathoprosopoides) bituberculatus (a female).
Size female 6 mm; male 6.5 mm Identifying Characteristics "A small bee with short, blunt mandibles. There is no break between the yellow of the collar and the yellow tubercles. The back is otherwise black." The collar is also shortly discontinuous over the top of the "neck" as in my specimen. I checked the distribution map, for this species, on the ALA site: It looks good for this area.
What do you think? Let me know if you want me to email the photos at 100%.
