Hi Kim, Any chance we could take this ID up a level to Fabriogenia sp.? I see you ID'd another wasp sighting as this from Tathra, which looks very similar, and this website: https://natureshare.org.au/observations?species=Fabriogenia+spp. has lots of images which look very similar to our critter. Hi Jackie. I passed this by Juanita Rodriguez, a CSIRO pompilid expert. She said they can't reliably be identified to genus from photos like this, as you need to see structural details. So Pompilidae it is (for now).
