Location shouldn't matter too much since it's a common and widespread species.

Yep, native. My Insects of SE Aust book tells me it was one of the first insects collected in Australia, by Joseph Banks in 1770. Adults feed on leaves of bipinnate (feathery foliaged) wattles such as Black Wattle and the larvae feed on their roots (which might explain why the weevils are common, since this wattle is ubiquitous in Bega Valley). As far as putting in the correct location details, for future reference, hold the control key down, mouse over the map and use the left click button to drag it around and the scroll wheel to zoom in or out, till you find the location you want, then click on the spot and a "pin" will appear there. Easy peasy.
