Author's notes

The few plants that have been growing for some years at this location on the light to light track are starting to get some size to them now. Although only a few cm high, the mats are getting to 30cm across or more. Not seen anywhere else on Green Cape yet, and they seem to do well on the track edge, where they get a bit of trampling and occasional brush cutting to reduce competition from larger plants. The fire in the heath in 2014 seems to have done them no harm, but nor has it promoted a lot of recruitment, as far as I could tell from a brief wander through the heath in the vicinity, and a check of the track verges for a km or so in either direction.
