many plants seen but only one in flower, several with buds, but not sure that these were the same species

Could you rotate the flower photo by 180 degrees if possible.

I've done that Betty. As you can see the stem was broken so the flowers were facing downwards. We didn't think to look at the underside of the leaves to check for the diagnostic red colour.

Interestingly all my photos of that species in flower were taken in June or July. Looks like the extra rain down south in June is bearing fruit - not much hope of orchid action up our way, as it is dry as a chip.

Yes, we didn’t expect to see anything much on this expedition to Greenglades and Baycliff, but we ended up with four species. There were still large puddles at Baycliff so it would seem that there has been more rain right on the coast than back in Wonboyn.
