In his description of A. annulata : Fabricius says simply "antennae ... nigrae" . No mention of white tips.
Of A. fenestrata, he says "antennae ... nigrae ... ante apicum albae", so if A. annulata had white tips : I think he is likely to have said this too, so Boisduval made a mistake.
In Butler's description of A. nigriceps, he says it is very similar to A. annulata but has a larger hyaline spot on the hindwing. No mention of white antenna tips.
