Identification history

Rush / Sedge Isolepis prolifera 30 Oct 2017 JackieMiles1K

Author's notes

This exotic and highly invasive sedge is unfortunately one of the more common plants on the lagoon, forming dense mats around the edges of the water. Plants spread by "layering" from the parent clump and seedlings were also very numerous on newly exposed wet mud.
