The Eucalypt Ecology literature would class this as a self-perpetuating outbreak. It will be interesting to monitor this psyllid outbreak and the outcome for the Bangalays. Also if it spreads to adjacent species such as the Spotted Gum and White Stringybark. There are sightings for these species at the edge of the outbreak to help with surveillance.
