These are in good numbers in the grasslands on our place at present - 20-25mm wingspan

Hi Glen, I've been checking Scopula rubraria images on line; Your ID looks right. I'd say this specimen is a female, as it lacks the prominent black spot on the upper wings. I'll keep an eye open for a male and also check the various native and introduced plantain on our place.
