Author's notes

Very common exotic on the lagoon, both floating on the water surface and on drying mud round the edges. The first photo shows it on mud surrounded by the native Elatine gratioloides. The second photo is of the submerged leaves, which are very different from the blue-green, feathery exposed leaves. There is also a smaller native Myriophyllum present.
