Don McPhee brought this plant to me in the hope you might be able to identify it for him? The map location isn't right as that was where I took the pictures - at Tathra Surf Club.

The leaves suggest Brunoniella pumilio, blue trumpet flower. I've never dug one up, so the cluster of tubers is news to me, but the Flora of NSW does say of the genus "perennial tuberous herbs", so that makes me almost confident enough to confirm it. It is fairly common in forest on poor soils down here.
