    Re the recent discussion of distinguishing between tuberosus and juncifolius, the obvious difference seems to be that juncifolius anthers are purple with the filament white, while tuberosus anthers and filaments are both white with just a hint of mauve at the anther tip (checking on my past photos, plus this one).
