Identification history

Orchid Cymbidium suave 21 Jan 2016 TonyWood
Unidentified 21 Jan 2016 DustyUltra Reporter - Dusty has reported over 500 sightings!

Author's notes

They appear to be orchids in a tree and are high up. I did not climb to get a close up. There is a clump but obviously more than one plant. If I should not report things like this please advise.

I am not an expert on Epiphytes so I might leave to someone else to confirm. But to me it looks like Cymbidium suave. And yes please report all orchid sightings, although Aaron might have a contrary view since this is from the south coast.

Tony I agree, Dusty we absolutely encourage all sightings, that is the whole knowledge sharing / educational power of the community on CNM. The worst case is that the experts won't be able to identify something in which case you simply get an "Insufficient evidence for identification" friendly email etc.
